Shabik.

Shaandra, U.S.S.
Federation starship proposed during the 23rd century. This vessel's construction was cancelled, and it's registry was assigned to another vessel. (Technical Manual [Franz Joseph TOS]; Ships of the Star Fleet [Mastercom]). It's possible ships of these names were still built, of different classes and registry numbers. If built, this ship would have been Achernar-class, with the registry NCC-1795, according to the manuals.
Shahna.
Drill thrall on the planet Triskelion. Shahna's species is unclear, it is not known which world the Providers of Triskelion kidnapped her or her ancestors from, she had green hair. In the 2260s, Shahna was responsible for training incoming thrall James Kirk to fight in the arena of the providers. During her time with him, the two became very close, and he taught her his human culture's ideas about personal freedom, and later convinced the Providers to release the thralls to lead self-determined lives. ("The Gamesters of Triskelion" [TOS]). Played by Angelique Pettyjohn. Shahna was the original tinfoil bikini wearing Kirk conquest, and Angelique Pettyjohn has appeared at many conventions, and even in photos wearing only the bottom half (!) of the Shahna costume.
Shahr, U.S.S.

Shelby previously served as Morgan Korsmo's first officer on the Excalibur and the Chekov. She was also one of the top personnel in the defense and strategy planning that was a result of the 2365 first contact with the Borg. In this function, she briefly served on the Enterprise-D during the Battle of Wolf 359, and was present at the defeat of that cube. Sheliak.
("The Ensigns of Command" [TNG]).
Sheliak Corporate.
("The Ensigns of Command" [TNG]).
Shelley-class.
Type of Federation starship. The Shelley-class design is a utility ship from the era of the Excelsior-class starship, consisting of an Excelsior-style secondary hull with an additional shuttlebay in the fore and the saucer attached amidships with two warp nacelles. Vessels of this type were utilized in large fleet operations during 24th century conflicts, such as the Dominion War. Ships of this type have included the U.S.S. Curry and, presumably, the U.S.S. Shelley. ("A Time to Stand" [DS9]). Ok, here goes: This ship was seen being towed in the opening sequences of "A Time to Stand," labeled U.S.S. Curry. The name 'Shelley' is unofficial for this unnamed starship class. The nomenclature originated in a newsgroup where this vessel was called a 'Frankenstein Excelsior', which was later shortened to Shelley-class, named for Mary Shelley, the author of Frankenstein. The name has stuck. The registry of the Curry, as seen in "A Time to Stand," would seem to indicate this was an older vessel, and the the reason for its structure is unexplained. There are several inconsistencies that exist beyond the structure and nomenclature of this vessel, such as the fact that the diagram of the vessel shown in the DS9 Technical Manual is incorrect, pictured with much too large nacelles at a ninety degree angle from their placement on the real vessel. The image of the ship shown here has the orientation of the Constitution-refit nacelles corrected, and resized to be appropriately scaled with Excelsior-class components. This is based on an image created by Bernd Schneider at Ex Astris Scientia.

Sirius, U.S.S.
Federation starship, a destroyer type vessel, Starfleet registry NCC-1744. This vessel existed in the mid to late 23rd century. The Sirius's top speed was warp 9.9 on the old scale, and the ship was armed with four torpedo launchers and four phaser emitters. This vessel's complement is 200 crewpeople. (Technical Manual [TOS]; Begin Tactical Starship Simulator [Clockwork Software]). There is, of course, no evidence that the Sirius in the game was meant to be the Sirius in the Technical Manual, but the ships in the TM list are better assigned to any other class, rather than being Constitution-variants, in my opinion.
Sisko, Benjamin Lafayette.
Terran Starfleet Captain. Born in 2332, the son of Sarah and Joseph Sisko, Benjamin grew up with his father and stepmother, and his half-sister Judith. He never knew he had a different mother until much later in his life. He learned to cook from his father, the proprietor of a New Orleans restaurant. The elder Sisko referred to his family as his "taste-testers," trying all his recipes on them and teaching them his trade. Ben entered Starfleet Academy in 2350, but still beamed back home to have dinner with his parents on a regular basis. During his sophomore year, he had a field study on Starbase 137. While in his senior year, Sisko met his wife Jennifer on Gilgo Beach. They married two years later, and had a son, Jake. Early in his career, Ensign Sisko worked with Curzon Dax, a Trill whom he met at Pelios Station. The two then served together on the starship Livingston. Sisko was on a command career track, but held a deep interest in engineering. While serving as a lieutenant on the starship Okinawa, Sisko was promoted from engineering to first officer by Captain Leyton. Lieutenant Commander Sisko served in this capacity on the Okinawa throughout the Tzenkethi Wars. Sisko was later transferred to the starship Saratoga, where he lived with his wife and son. Unfortunately, the Saratoga was one of the vessels massed at Wolf 359 to battle the Borg, and was destroyed. Ben and his son escaped, but Jennifer was killed in the battle. Sisko was deeply scarred by this experience and, a broken man, requested to be removed from starship duty. His engineering talents became his focus and he was placed in command of Utopia Planitia shipyards. He also commanded the construction of orbital habitats in Terran orbit. At Utopia Planitia in that capacity he was supervised the construction of the NX-74205 prototype, what would eventually become the starship Defiant. In 2369 Sisko was transferred to command another station, the newly renamed Deep Space 9 in orbit of Bajor. The station, an abandoned Cardassian construct, was to serve as a Starfleet command center during the reconstruction of Bajor after the Cardassian occupation. Sisko's mission would be to facilitate the preparation of Bajor for entry into the Federation and protect their interests from the nearby Cardassians. Sisko's command crew consisted of Major Kira Nerys, his liaison to the Bajoran militia and station first officer, CPO Miles O'Brien, chief of operations and engineering, and Dr. Julian Bashir, medical officer. Lt. Jadzia Dax, the new host of his old friend Curzon was his science officer and the shape-shifter Odo was retained in the security position by the Bajorans, although Starfleet assigned Lt. George Primmin to command Starfleet security interests onboard. Sisko was unhappy with the environment on the station as it pertained to Jake, and informed Captain Picard that he would be requesting a transfer as soon as possible. Shortly after this, however, a runabout expedition of Sisko and Dax discovered the first stable wormhole ever discovered in the nearby Denorios Belt. The passageway led some 70,000 light years into the Idran system in the Gamma Quadrant. During a skirmish with the Cardassians, the station was moved to the mouth of the wormhole. Realizing the outpost would soon become one of the Federation's most important, Sisko had a change of heart and stayed aboard. During the second year of Sisko's command, first contact with the Dominion was made. It soon became obvious the they were a major threat, and Sisko mobilized the mothballed Defiant prototype to defend the station. Sisko was promoted to captain in 2371. In 2375 at the end of the Dominion War, Sisko was reported missing after facing Skrain Dukat and Winn Adami in the fire caves of Bajor. Through visions received by his wife Kasidy, it is known that Sisko now resides in the Bajoran wormhole, with the Prophets. ("Emissary" [DS9 #1&2]; et al.). Played by Avery Brooks.
